Red Tractor Week

Red Tractor Week will be taking place from 12-18th September 2016.

Red Tractor Week launches an industry wide Autumn campaign, with the aim of creating a series of farmer-led events to celebrate and drive consumer awareness and understanding of British, Red Tractor Assured food.
Throughout the week a number of half day events, run by Red Tractor farmers will take place at supermarket stores across the UK. This gives farmers a chance to talk directly to shoppers about Red Tractor and what it means, there will also be information and merchandise available to hand out to shoppers.

During Red Tractor week we will also launch the Red Tractor 'Win a Mini-Break' on-pack and social media promotion for consumers which will run through to mid-November.
How to get involved?
Here you will find a list of stores participating along with volunteer store leaders. At each event we are hoping to have around 6-8 farmers to spend a few hours engaging with shoppers. Each event has a store leader, who we are working closely with to ensure they have the right tools to promote Red Tractor to shoppers.
Should you wish to participate please contact the store leader directly who will provide with you the date and time for each event (contact details are on the attached document).
Any Red Tractor member can take part in these events, the more varied the producers the more interesting it is for shoppers!

Competition time!

As Red Tractor Week is all about public engagement, we’ve managed to get our hands on a £300 UK mini-break with Premier Cottages to give away to a scheme member who the Red Tractor team believes has gone above and beyond to engage with shoppers and tell the Red Tractor story.
During Red Tractor Week we’ll be keeping an eye on our emails, social media and in the press to identify producers who have embraced the opportunity to talk to and educate consumers about British agriculture and the Red Tractor.
The winner will be announced later in September and will be a Red Tractor scheme member.
To be in with a chance of winning, let us know what you are doing. Either:
  • Drop us an email ([email protected]) – include photos etc.
  • Tag us on social media – twitter, facebook or Instagram (@RTFarmers)
Make sure you’ve shared everything you’ve been doing by the 19th September.

Thank you
Finally, a big thank you to our members who volunteer and continue to spread the word and work with consumers to improve their understanding of Red Tractor food.
