Farmers RTW2014

Added 21 Jul 2014

Help us show shoppers the people behind the Red Tractor logo.

With planning well underway for this year’s Red Tractor Week (15 – 21 September), Red Tractor is urging you not to miss out on the opportunity to make the most of the high profile campaign to promote your role in producing quality food under the Red Tractor scheme.

What’s happening?

Fronted by musician and food writer, Alex James, Red Tractor Week will target shoppers to raise understanding of the Red Tractor scheme and encourage more people to look for the logo when shopping.

The week aims to reach out to schools across the UK to encourage children to think about where their food comes from, with farm visits and a National Schools’ competition .

Red Tractor recipes will be promoted throughout the week, showcasing the range of ingredients produced to Red Tractor standards and a social media competition will encourage people to snap and share their farm to fork photos using  #TrustTheTractor.

Want to get involved? It’s easy, here’s what you can do:

  1. Already work with local schools for farm visits? Register with Red Tractor to open up your farm to a local group of student and be part of the Red Tractor Week school tour route. Once registered, Red Tractor will take care of the rest.
  2. Proud of your Red Tractor Accreditation? Become a Red Tractor Recruit and be the face of quality food and farming for your sector and region.  Tell us a bit about your farm and yourself, we can’t wait to hear from you and help share your story.
  3. Tweet and support the week by sharing facts and photos about being a Red Tractor farmer using #TrustTheTractor - there is a Luxury Farm stay up for grabs for posts shared during the week!

To register your interest in any of the above or to find out more about how you can get involved in Red Tractor Week email [email protected] or follow them on Facebook or Twitter @RedTractorFood or @RTfarmers.

Five lucky farmers who register interest will be picked to WIN a Red Tractor fleece - perfect for those cold mornings!
