Fresh Produce Board
The Red Tractor Assurance Fresh Produce Board is responsible for overseeing the management of the Scheme and its activities.
Members are appointed with the aim of providing expert cross-industry representation. An independent chairman leads the Red Tractor Assurance Fresh Produce Board with strong representation from producers, processing, and retailer and food service industry specialists.
Some members are nominees of leading Trade Associations (1), whilst other appointments are made on the merits of an individual’s expertise and contribution to the industry (2).

Fresh Produce Technical Advisory Committee
The TAC is a group of industry experts and representatives who meet at least three times a year to discuss standard setting for farm standards. The group considers legislation, existing standards, market activity and industry requirements when making decisions about Red Tractor Farm Assurance Fresh Produce standards.
The TAC is appointed with qualified individuals with experience within certain areas of the fresh produce industry. There is also technical expertise in food safety issues and environmental protection. The varied input provided by the TAC members ensures that the standards are practical and achievable whilst meeting the demands of consumers.
