Poultry Board
The Red Tractor Assurance Poultry Board is responsible for overseeing the management of the Scheme and its activities.
The Board is appointed with the aim of providing expert cross-industry representation and includes members from a number of leading producer organisations and experts concerned with the health and welfare of the birds. The breath of food chain constituents includes representatives of processing and retail supply experts. Some members are nominees of leading Trade Associations (1), whilst other appointments are made on the merits of an individual’s expertise and contribution to the industry (2).

Technical Advisory Committee
The TAC is a group of industry experts and representatives who meet at least three times a year to discuss standard setting for farm standards. The group considers legislation, existing standards, market activity and industry requirements when making decisions about Red Tractor Assurance Poultry standards.
The TAC is appointed with qualified individuals with experience within certain areas of industry. The varied expertise provided by the TAC ensures that the standards are practical and achievable whilst meeting the demands of consumers.
